Chairman of Tasracing Brian Speers is pleased to announce a new initiative to stimulate local buyer participation at the 2010 Magic Millions Tasmanian Select Yearling Sales. 

The concept will provide owners with an opportunity to increase their returns, while assisting the local thoroughbred breeding industry. 

The scheme will see ten $5,000 SuperVOBIS (Tas) sale credits made available to the winning owner/s in selected races.  These Bonuses are only available for horses who are SuperVobis qualified.  The Bonuses are only redeemable at the 2010 Sale.

The Bonuses will be payable on a combination of 2YO and 3YO Maidens and Handicap races commencing on Sunday 3 January 2010 through until 24 January 2010.

Also, another new initiative is that a $2,000 bonus will be paid to 4YO’s for their first win.  Only horses nominated and paid up through the Tasmanian scheme SuperVOBIS (Tas) will be eligible for these 4YO bonuses.  The payment of these bonuses will be backdated to the start of this racing season (1 August 2009).

The 2010 Magic Millions Tasmanian Yearling Sales will be held at Inveresk Showgrounds, Launceston on Tuesday 23 February 2010.
