WHAT IS SUPERVOBIS (TAS)?
 It is an owners and breeders incentive scheme designed to maximise market interest in Tasmanian bred horses and increase their racetrack earnings.

HOW IT WORKS
Qualified yearlings must be nominated with a once only payment prior to 1 February 2010. These yearlings will be eligible for substantial bonuses when they win or are placed in selected races as 2YO's and 3YO's throughout Tasmania and Victoria.
 
  • In 2010/11, over $800,000 in bonuses will be on offer for Tasmanian 2YO and 3YO races.
  • Both Victorian (SuperVOBIS) and Tasmanian (SuperVOBIS (Tas)) qualified yearlings will be eligible for these bonuses.
  • In addition, SuperVOBIS (Tas) qualified yearlings will be eligible for all SuperVOBIS 2YO & 3YO bonuses on Victorian races.

BONUS STRUCTURE - TASMANIAN BONUS RACES
Bonuses available to SuperVOBIS and SuperVOBIS (Tas) horses:
  • Maiden 2yo & 3yo Races $5,000
  • Maiden 3yo & Up Races (3yo's only) $3,000
  • All other 2yo & 3yo Races (non-feature*) $8,000

Bonuses available to SuperVOBIS (Tas) horses only:
  • 2yo or 3yo Feature Races * $5,000
  • 4yo first win $2,000
* A race is classified as a Feature Race if it is staked at $50,000 or more and the bonus is payable to the nominator of the winner only.
