LADY LYNETTE EARNINGS SURPASS $1MILLION

Thursday, November 03, 2011

Armidale Stud bred sensation Lady Lynette (Ladoni x Queens Own) has this week joined an elite club of Tasmanian bred champions joining Syderston and El Mirada in surpassing earnings of $1million dollars, and as the only mare to do so she is a true Tasmanian breeding success story.

Purchased for just $13,000 at the 2006 Magic Millions Tasmanian Yearling Sale, Lady Lynette’s phenomenal success has increased her value as a broodmare. Following her run in the Myers Classic, she is rumoured to have been sold to a mainland breeder for $450,000.

Pending next week’s 2012 Magic Millions Yearling Sale inspections, an Armidale Stud bred half-sister to Lady Lynette, a Ladoni x Escharpe filly, will be offered for sale in February, and on the back of her sister’s success is sure to draw interest from the buyers’ bench.

The 2012 Magic Millions Tasmanian Yearling Sale will be held on Tuesday 21 February at Inveresk in Launceston. Catalogues will be available in mid-December.
