Tasmanian Race Track Performances For July
Monday, August 09, 2010July was a relatively quiet month in Tasmania, with only four race meetings conducted. However Tasmanian-bred and/or Tasmanian Sale graduates still recorded some extremely encouraging results. Notably amongst these was the impressive graduation to Open Class by King Of Gondor, a bargain buy ($ 5,500) for trainer John Blacker at the 2007 sale. Read more of this post

Tas Sale Graduates Dominate Autumn Racing Carnival
Wednesday, June 16, 2010The recently completed 2010 Tasmanian Autumn Racing Carnival has been another outstanding endorsement for the Tasmania Yearling Sale and Tasmanian bred gallopers. The carnival features a series of races for open company sprinter/milers, fillies and mares, 3yos and 2yos. In total, these races conducted over three meetings are worth an additional $330,000 in stakes. Importantly, the Carnival provides a great opportunity for local owners and trainer to earn excellent prize money outside of the Summer Racing Carnival. Read more of this post

Marvellous March for Tasmanian Horses
Friday, April 09, 2010March has been an outstanding month for Tasmanian bred horses - in particular graduates of the Tasmanian Magic Millions Yearling Sale. The annual Tasmanian sale has developed an outstanding reputation for producing consistent quality performers and the results from March certainly reinforce this fact. It is also worth noting that during the month of March, 33 races were conducted in Tasmania and 22 of the winners were either Tasmanian-bred or graduates of the Tasmanian yearling sale.
