Star Tasmanian bred racehorse  The Cleaner, took another step towards the Cox Plate yesterday with an all the way win in the  Dato Tan Chin Nam Stakes (1600m). Rated perfectly in front by Steven Arnold, the seven year old gelding, led from the start and had all his opposition off the bit by the turn. As a winner of the Dato Tan Chin Nam, The Cleaner is ballot-free into the Gr 1 Cox Plate (2040m) and Gr 1 Caulfield Cup (2400m) . Read more of this post

On Saturday at Moonee Valley, The Cleaner faces his toughest test of his racing career in taking on the pre-post Melbourne Cup favourite The Offer (IRE) and Group 1 winner Foreteller (IRE) in the Dato’ Tan Chin Nam Stakes (1600m). Bramshaw Sold to Tasmania

In a deal brokered by Gavelhouse, the impeccably bred Encosta de Lago sire Bramshaw has been sold to the Quarell family from Bionic Lodge in Longford Tasmania.
A member of the prolific Eight Carat (GB) family, being a half-brother to outstanding stallions Danewin and Commands, Bramshaw is the sire of 14 winners with his oldest progeny just four year-olds.
